came back home-things are wrong-not really-it was bad all along
i caused a great uproar amongst my engineering classmates by purporting the theory that it was impossible to make a profit on our semester project without comitting some sort of calculation error. the errors leading people to think they could profit was the confusion of the unit MSCF for million standard cubic feet, whereas it is thousand standard cubic feet, and the perception that we need 500,000 metric tons of methanol, whereas we really need 500,000 tons of acetic acid.
furthermore i have discovered that palm oil is an important commodity if one is to fry plantains as a snack. a plantain fried in vegetable oil is far inferior to one fried in palm oil. you can put some onion. the whole thing will have a deep red color to it, the color of the grease that settles at the top of a pot of spaghetti sauce. In Yoruba, one should greet a palm wine tapper as "Igba a ro o," which means 'may the climbing rope show greater flexibility.'
i read that the blackened skin on the bodies in falluja may be due to phosphorus burns from the special ammunition used by our army. it will burn so long as it is exposed to air. so you can bandage it for a few days, but then if you take the bandage off of the wound, it will start smoking and burning again. if you want to find all the places where the body is burned, turn off the lights, and all of the pieces will glow in the dark.

1 Comments:
