Scholars maintain that the 16th president of the United States, "Honest" Abe Lincoln, was quite possibly homosexual.
I therefore conclude that your comic lacks academic rigor and completely disregards comtemporary scholarly thought.
The nerve.
post hoc, ergo propter hoc:
historians declared that lincoln was gay after his relations with young men. this does not necessarily mean that they declared him gay because of the said relations. they may have had some sort of grudge against him. and perhaps abe had sex with young men to mislead historians. the cartoon portrays a scenario which, challenges withstanding, is academically defensible
