sometimes a journalist has to write a story that has no point, or a story all of whose useful content is contained in the title. this is why people have halos of frizzy blonde hair, or why a woman is carrying condoms, or why a man believes that he has bad luck.

a certain type of metal net lets you clean boiling water into which you have spilled blood. there is a similar technique for removing objects that people inhale. but one time a child, because he was the kind of child who inhaled a sunflower seed, died by this tool.

i had to watch the movie Adanggaman. in that movie a sitting-in-the-dark man is approached by three walking-in-the-dark men and they beat him. four more stick-holding men come. one says "o re feva koo jife koo, ja gu tana nei." (discipline is achieved with the force of a heavy stick) each of them holds the stick to feel its weight. they turn and walk away, saying in unison: "a ja o, oo, i ja o." (let us be showered with peace)
